The Exjet Services/ Clearline Laser Profiler combines the
latest technologies in laser illumination with computer processing to
provide the contractor, local authority or consulting engineer with
the empirical data necessary to analyze true pipe condition prior to
and post rehabilitation.
For many years CCTV survey equipment has been an accepted engineering
tool for determining the condition of waste water pipe networks.
Utilising CCTV inspection systems for condition assessment has helped
engineers’ better plan rehabilitation programs and therefore obtains
the maximum value from their limited budgets. However, pipeline
inspection by CCTV survey methods alone is inherently subjective by
nature and therefore limited. There is no ability to accurately
measure features within a pipeline with standard CCTV cameras.
Cases where the CCTV survey has failed to identify a problem or non
conforming pipeline that has later failed has proved very costly for
the asset owner, Construction Company and/or consultant. By utilising
the Laser profiling equipment alongside a traditional CCTV survey
prior to decisions on remedial action being made, the human error
factor can be removed from the process ensuring that the true
condition of the pipeline is revealed.
Reporting formats supplied include both hard copies, which have been
fully investigated by the Exjet Engineer, and viewer files supplied to
the customer allowing further investigation by the client. This also
allows a permanent record of the profiling survey to be retained by
the client for future reference.
